Enrollment Period Taking Place NOW
The Leo Augusta Children’s Academy is currently enrolling children and families to the Academy. As a childcare-education center, the Academy has in place the following pillars as part of our foundation.
- The staff at the Academy will be responsive to the needs of each child
- Our programming provides open, engaging, and supportive experiences for our children
- The interaction between our providers and children will be warm, engaging, and positive
- The learning interactions and activities are developmentally appropriate, positive, and interactive
- The health, safety, and welfare of the children are absolute, non-negotiable priorities
At this time, the Academy does have openings in the infant room (6 weeks to 16 months), the toddler room (16 to 33 months), the preschool room (33 months to kindergarten), and the school-age room (kindergarten to 12 years of age). The Academy is making plans to open in the first part of June. Open slots will fill up quickly as we get closer to the opening. Contact the Academy today to reserve your space!
Construction Changes Happening!
Construction at the Academy is occurring rapidly and is transforming the two buildings. In the main building, the roof is almost finished and the interior has undergone a major renovation. The sheetrock and taping have been completed and the painters are currently there. The restrooms in the toddler and preschool rooms are nearing completion and the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) room is on-track for completion. At the Academy, we are indeed lucky to have space where our staff will be able to collaborate, meet and plan. Social and professional relationships and opportunities for staff to collaborate, plan and solve problems as a team plays a crucial role in the professional development of individuals.
A collaborative approach with other educators is an important feature of childcare and effective early childhood education. Collaborative planning supports continuity and positive transitions within and between childcare age settings and classrooms, as well as enhancing holistic and integrated approaches to achieving learning and development outcomes.
